Old fashioned romance
Lust and love
Burning in my brain
Fire in my loins
Desire is our landscape
Love is the calling
your mouth is sublimely sensual
your lips invite me home
your embrace pulls me in
and leaves me wanting more
quiet streets
walking my dog
neighbors nodding “good morning”
newspapers on the stoop
wet leaves
coffee brewing
sun breaking through
cascading between buildings
perfect winter air
crisp and inviting
the day awaits you
all the promise
make it happen…
Why is it so hard to smile
Always over thinking is not right
I need you by my side
All feels so sad
Everything is meaningless
Without you all is boring
I feel so ignored
Not having you around
Now that you’re gone
I feel so lost
Trying to keep myself busy
Is not helping at all
I shouldn’t have been sad
But nothing can make me smile
People said that I’m not right
But I’m happy knowing that you’re fine
Listening to your old songs
To feel you close
We’re waiting for you
My loneliness and I
six storms in a row
or maybe dreams bound on winds
drifting through mind snow
grey arches above
slowing the suns progress none
each day the same dove
hear the shadows song
behind the carolers chime
much tears wail along
My mind, lost in my thoughts
Traveling in the depths of my memories
Don’t know where I am, if I’m dead or alive
If I lived enough, if I tried so hard
If I lost all, if I gave up
My mind, lost in my thoughts
Trying to find my own way
I heard the sound of the clock on the wall
Calling the longing to have a better world
Or seeking for the joy of my life
Pushing away all the sadness
I clatter around, I’m back to reality
I found myself facing another day
I want to fall asleep, to dream
To dream with you, my happiness
Because life doesn’t feel like it’s supposed to

Because I know it’s a new chance

Because we all have good inside us

Because I know that nobody’s perfect

is the flight of a monarch
before each bud that blooms

from both hemispheres
left and right,
like her wings
birthed twins,
where every waking thought
begins
– as a first breath
– and the last gasp
where dreams become life
in the dank cloak of midnight
gaining momentum
churning the vortexes
of hurricanes
such raw passion
complicated
never simple
a thought
is the genesis of energy
the beginning of understanding
a means to communicate
the subconscious of the artist,
insane
writing words such as this
solely to prevent the skull
from bursting,
spewing bits of memories
and rivers of tears, endless
that never run dry
a place where angels reside
sitting upon clouds
of sentences
the most holy poets-
sending telegraphs
to the chosen.

Like second skin
You trust conflict
Even though it cuts you emotionally
My role Is spiritual
Not to be the white knight
But to be a friend and sometimes lover
Knowing all the way its wrong but right
There are no easy answers
In the matters of the heart
There is talk and laughter
Connection and conflict
We do all of them easily
We mean well
Neither wants to hurt each other
We are found, not lost
