don’t say horizons are too far away
they’re closer to where you are now
than where you’re capable of being
go for the well-beyond
set off your imagination
you’ll find new horizons
the unexpected is always there to find
the unrehearsed has the best surprises
for true seekers there is no final frontier
A poem for posterity is
Alas one for the ages.
One which will withstand
The time tested travel
Amongst past, present,
And future generations.
One which seeks solidarity
Even in the coldest of places.
One that will not become
Jaded, faded, and frustrated
Unearthing that vile serpent
Of ugliness within us all.
For we must refrain not to
Display it upon blank faces
If we are to remain at peace,
Not permanently guaranteed,
And shall neither wither on
The vine of self-indulgence
Overtly masked in creativity.
