Earth: A Love Story | Hope Vigil-Alvarez

She was beautiful
So blue and green
Within the starry skies
She’d dance and preen.
Then Man came to live within her
And she cried with joy
So flattered with attention
Her flowers blossomed
And leafy trees bloomed
But soon Man decided that she just wasn’t modern
So he dressed her up
In buildings
Made up her face
In neon lights
She was eager to please
And let him have his way
But then he complained
“I don’t even recognize you anymore, you’ve really let yourself go, or I can’t live here anymore”
She cried acid rain tears of pollution
For she’d tried so hard
Given the best years of her life
Only to be rejected.
She knew something had to change
So she steeled herself against him
And decided it was Time
For another Ice Age.

Are You a Gilligan or a Gannon | J. D. Nelson

why does the stomach need a metal detector
with that rabbit head and umbilical foot

to start a wet water war
to start a water wetness brigade

the farmer brown tour of the coats
please knock it off for two days

fixing my yogurt pants
we can see that james is the color of the world

earth is eating the shoe again
a fish will win

Irony of Rains… | TheAPwrites

While the half is drown,
And half dry is frown,
Half facing a scarcity,
Half suffering from availability,
Half is waiting impatiently,
Half is out due to plenty,
On half it’s flood,
On half it’s dead bloods,
Somewhere hope to dry,
Somewhere tears dry,
Some are tensed to low,
Some are waiting for flow,
Why is it so, don’t know,
Answer we all know.
