mindfulness poems

Keep Writing | Donetta Sifford

Keep writing.
When morning carries
songs of birds on sunshine,
keep writing.
As night wraps darkness
around your tired body,
keep writing.
If you’ve bled on paper
only to receive rejection,
keep writing.
Friends may politely scan
over your words unsmiling,
keep writing.
Even if you write to clear
your head, mindfulness,
meditation, for your peace
of mind and your sanity,
keep writing.

Mindfulness | Sarah Nikonchik

Its warmth caressed my skin
Rays of light streaming in my hair
The sensation of a smile
Purity radiating within
I want
I need
This feeling to last forever
A moment and it’s gone
Light replaced by cloudy eyes
Shattered glass beating
Tear-soaked pillows lie on a bed of thorns
With a deep pain that has no end
Another moment and the shadows are gone
Tears dried by a halo of light
The black raven gone as quickly as it came
I know it will return
But for now
It doesn’t matter
I am here in this moment
Surrounded by the the golden sky

Chisel | Harekrishna Dey

Chisel is a tool of my consciousness
And spine is wood,
Every time used to plane my spine for making me a human furniture.
My soul is a carpenter
To addjoining various fragment of sorrow and shadow of life.

I want to reach peak of all heart
Every cutting step of Chisel.
