Becoming tighter,
Wrapping himself in
Ever-thicker coils of
Mangled belief
Desperately trying to erase
The huge shouting faces
Subduing him into
Thinking he’s worthless,
Punitive voices exhorting
Him to crush others
For a moment’s relief.
