Slashed as paint ripping wild the canvas
of its confines you woke the room,
your music a stringed surge reverberating
the grey.
Around the round words your lips move
as delicate as geraniums drift,
as electric panthers wag
the tangle of minted night.
owning us more than angels
and the very lyric breath
of each plucked, pink note
is a danced destiny.

I’ll come to take you on my raft
To the land of magic and diamonds,
my land, where you’ll reign
as the sole queen

coddled and throttled, thoroughly thriving
re-learning lingo, equine naysayer
track conditions call for added layer
both underbettors and overthinkers
homestretch prayer: Let her be a ‘stayer’
saddling up, removing our blinkers

Follow the depths of my soul

Eager regard as though in a dream

The waxing moon alive
Sprinkles us with wishes of eternal love
Joy and soul rituals of love
Playful kisses yielding rapture

The full moon shone brilliantly
