Outage | Edgar Law
When the room
tilts a surprising ash gray
rain swallows chances
of sunlight
randomly I will invite
a glow into the four
walls of home.

Yesterday came so suddenly
I wasn’t ready for your reality
That snuck up behind me willing
a life of pure eternity
Together Integrity
Together we challenge the tides
The endless summer highs and lows
To breathe a little in the space of the glow of Time
Of Love forever mine
Of love forever Sublime
Of Love for the rest of Time….
Listen to me, kid,
we’re telling a new
story now,
not the old one of abuse
or wrong-doing
Because in this story
you decide to be the decent
human being you know
you really want to be.
When rockets begin to fall from the sky
To make the late afternoon cry,
Something must be done to trumpet
Through the naked silhouette
Of the daily news.
The flowers must take back their homeland
Be permanent, be baffling, be grand.
Let the stars follow their walk;
Then, with comfort the birds will flock,
Dispelling the days blues.
Once common romantic appetites
Will begin to fill those marble nights.
Triumphantly understanding its goal
To fill the large translucent hole,
Begging for its taboos.

Just give off light
flowing like lava from
the heat held within,
just bathe in light
letting pores and capillaries
fill with energy pockets,
just flash by like light,
a storm streak in a dark
night of wishing.
These days are gloomy,
My pain ruminates from my mood.
Slowly I can see light peeking out from behind the clouds in my mind.
As my sky starts to turn from gray to pink.
My sorrows begin to fade into day.
All the gray begins to melt away.
The ink from my pen takes all my sorrows away.
The light of the world shines
through the souls,
through the smiles,
through the eyes
of all of its’ inhabitants.
And in time
All things dark will be illuminated.
Together we are brighter than the sun,
and we too
can shower this world,
shower this life,
shower this existence
with warmth.
I would
carve a better
more hopeful
world
if only I had
the proper
instruments.
I cannot contain
or yet restrain
the arrival of joy each day.
By eventide the joy is dimmed.
New joys hide among the stars
to be uncovered
by another sunrise.
