Summer Breadth… | Dana Alecia

Yesterday came so suddenly
I wasn’t ready for your reality
That snuck up behind me willing
a life of pure eternity
Together Integrity
Together we challenge the tides
The endless summer highs and lows
To breathe a little in the space of the glow of Time
Of Love forever mine
Of love forever Sublime
Of Love for the rest of Time….

Wounded | Blanca Alicia Garza

Like a wounded creature
howling at the rising moon,
I lick the scars of
my shattered being,
Bleeding, memories
Running down my cheeks.
I whisper sorrows to my
dearest friends the stars,
always there, bright,
illuminating the night,
helping to dry the tears
of all suffering hearts.
I’ll never give up,
I’m ready to fight once again.

Plunder | Roger Still

Even the sound of the word
reminds of the scooping
of hands deep into sand
Always searching for treasure
gold buried in plain sight
an easy out to escape into
endless riches.
