Little Turtle | Mary Bone

Little turtle peeked out
from underneath his shell.
He decided to venture forth
on a stormy day.
He had a little flashlight
to light his way.

Frogs Glee Club | Christine Emmert

It is Springtime
when the sparkle of sun
lights up
the stage
where the frogs
commence glorious practice.
I stand unknown to their singing.
I would sing myself. But they are baritones!
My soprano is mute.
Deep and in tune with the day
they cannot be out of tune
while Mother Nature smiles approvingly.

Lesson #1 | Stan Morrison

What rimes with squirrels
How about boys and girls with curls

Then what rimes with chocolates
Try some pebbles and some rock-lets

OK, find one for peanut butter fudge
Get me some now or I won’t budge

The thing about riming
Just like rock climbing
You need perfect timing

If you rime elephant, orange or purple
You could get stuck if you’re not careful?

Flipper | Ricky Garni

Now the boys loved their faithful dolphin companion,
Flipper. How he was always there for them in times
of danger or grave peril. How did he do this? How
did he know? Well, it’s simple: the ocean is filled
with hundreds of thousands of dolphins who love
little boys, and all look pretty much identical.
And dolphins are exceedingly polite, and
always willing to say “After you, sir.”
