A Vision of Just a Dream | Vincent Von Ellesmere

I had a vision of the future as I looked into my black mirror,
I saw a world consumed with a metaphorical darkness of negativity,
I saw an unlikely army emerge,
An army,
legions upon legions
of spell-casters & poets from around the globe
emerge from their slumber,
In Mother Earth’s
darkest decade of pain & horror,
In sync they reach into their armouries,
their poetry Bureau’s of magic,
Take out their weapons,

their weapons
of golden-parchment black-ink & golden-quills, they begin to collectively write their powerful poetry for the world to recite,
To save humanity & mother earth
from a fate far far worse,
than death itself,

The metaphorical Darkness has shadowed the world of positive light.

The world of light-casters
spell casters & poets alike,
Unite to poetically manifest
the coming of a new dawn,
a dawn that’ll bring back the balance between darkness & light,
& make the world right once more,

The universe shall hear
them recite,
As their voices & words eco & travel through time & space as the universe utters the words
As within so without,
As above so below,
Let it be so.
Meditation spell-poetry & manifestation unitedly bring about global unification,
uniting the mind heart & spirit, combining meditation with
spell-poetry for a more powerful positive manifestation for all humanity,
Humanity shall live on,

The balance of darkness & light shall always prevail,
The future cannot come quick enough,

Was it all just a dream or a vision of a future that’s very very real.

Dying for Love | Envein - Contemporary Poetry Website Featuring Notable Poems

Dying for Love | Envein

Listen to the sounds of mother nature’s cry. Should we not mourn as we watch our mother die? Raped by father time. Her innocence has been torn. Conceived by all mankind corruption has been born.
Negligence and pollution, famine and acid rain. Listen to the thunder, she’s crying from the pain. Will no one save her? Will no one try? Is there nothing we can do as we watch our mother die?
Cant you feel her tears fall from the skies above?
Cant you hear her cries in the mourning of the dove?
Cant you see her sanity Fleeing from are vanity.
Dont you know she’s dying, dying for our love.

I Am Who I Am | Sandra Nguyen - Contemporary Poetry Website Featuring Notable Poems

I Am Who I Am | Sandra Nguyen

I am the scars that you see,
of broken promises and broken heart.
I am the tears that flow,
from wells of hurt and pain.
I am the treasure,
of falling stars and lost dreams.
I am who I am,
because you loved me.

I am the wings of eagles,
soaring in the sky.
I am the butterfly,
the change and transformation.
I am the sun, the stars and moon,
shining and twinkling with all my might.
I am who I am,
because I loved you.

A Definition of Wan-Hua Street | Zihong Chen - Contemporary Poetry Website Featuring Notable Poems

A Definition of Wan-Hua Street | Zihong Chen

The name of Wan-hua Street is the signifier or signified, I hesitate,
what attracts me is not interpretation, but the changing poetic sentiment.

Which exact meaning can be located for the Hua, a Chinese character?
paces of one or two people, or a belle and furbelows of her?

If we use adjectives like extravagant, prodigal, moneyed, splendid,
the street history will gladly accept them, pretend to refuse in a second.

The previous recycling facilities were already written in implicit lists,
Fragrant Flowers Courtyard, as always, responds to salvos of flowers.

Time crosses the sidewalk, changes the scenes once a decade, once a year,
Colorful glorious flowers, flourishing, coloring, blossoming and waning.

Feelings for Wan-hua Street is the most regular yearning this moment,
The Street is coloring a kaleidoscope, spring-colored, enticingly fragrant?

Alert | Stan Morrison - Contemporary Poetry Website Featuring Notable Poems

Alert | Stan Morrison

while you were napping
other stuff was happening
your dog rover took your trike
went for a spin on the turnpike
when you were upstairs and resting
you missed more that was interesting
your new teacher visited your mother
talked about this, that and the other
a rocket ship landed on the lawn
but you were tired, started to yawn
so many more important things go on
the very serious and the putting-you-on
just stay alert as long as you’re able
don’t fall asleep at the breakfast table
