Unbuttoned Life | P.K. Deb

Let me live an unbuttoned life
To feel the sorrows of the society,
And allow myself to circumscribe
By a divine girdle of honesty.
Let me spend the tumultuous days
To break dozing and day dreaming
And to rub the depressed to erase
The loneliness to make life cheering.
Let me enjoy the dreamful nights
To obtain a zeal for better tomorrow
And a luminous knowledge which fights
To drive out the darkness of sorrow.
Let me enjoy a delightful intermission
To establish myself on the peak of pleasure.
And return again with a new incarnation
To reform the society with suitable measure.
