I can’t do it anymore
set pen to paper
to inform someone
about the weather,
family, friends or feelings
as if they care
or even to ask them
how life has been
treating them
over there
and so I don’t seal you
in an envelope
stamp you with Elvis
and walk you to the post office
thus I never get a reply
in my mail box…
