Driving across Kansas | Daniel Klawitter

Driving through Kansas is like driving in a giant bowl of corn flakes. Good thing I have a car shaped like a spoon. Jarod Kintz
The sky here is immense and there is no escape.
With nothing to stop the horizon, one can only gape
At the endless flatness — and await the intense
Relentless shades of sunset. That’s the best part —
The sunsets that go from apocalyptic pink to murderous red.
And believe me — you’ll wish you were dead
Before you reach your final destination.
Driving through Kansas will drive you to madness.
Avoid it — that’s my recommendation.
