In the stillness of forever
as the sun closes its eyes
I look up into
the black of night
in awe of the universe
where stars
house themselves inside
the mystery of sky
through telescopic eyes
the wonder of its vastness
gives pause to question
does life live beyond time
earth’s ceiling of theories
cups its ears to the wind
I listen but cannot hear
the message
