Osmosis Oasis | Ivan Jenson

I am beginning
to see glimpses
of the end
and I think
maybe there
is no such thing
and this is all
really a circle
like a promise ring
and the finale
is yet another
starting gate
for the white stallions of fate
to take us somewhere
truly great
or I could be wrong
about the last note
of this swan song
and instead
after the black depth
of that final night
we catch a red-eye flight
which will disappear
into a Bermuda triangle
where all mysteries
will untangle
if you tilt your head
slightly to the right
you will see
that from this angle
at the end of the tunnel
there is light

A Journey's End | Lynn Long - Contemporary Poetry Website Featuring Notable Poems

A Journey’s End | Lynn Long

Wish me well on this journey
It is one that I must take
And, I will not be returning
I am certain of this fate
For I have lived a life of danger
I have broken all the rules
At times I’ve been a stranger
At times I’ve been a fool…
Now I hear the wind a-callin’
It’s Crying out my name
Lord knows I have fallen
Yet, I do not feel ashamed
For the path is one I’ve chosen
It is one that I must take
So, wish me well on this journey
As it now becomes my fate…

Moonlight | Faida - Contemporary Poetry Website Featuring Notable Poems

Moonlight | Faida

The moonlight danced by herself,
She sang to the winds gently
A sudden gust grabbed the air
And the apprehensive breathing took a dare.

Man’s audience had lost it all,
Too busy to sense the atmosphere.
The fragrance of change was lost.
So the moonlight in its splendour lost.

Man will consult the stars above.
Fate is found in the stars.
The pensive mood will not clear,
Fate is spelt by the stars.

The moonlight sings a forlorn song.
As man swings in the orbit of the Gods.
The heavans sparkle with the stars.
Man lives merely on planet earth!
