Outside the Perimeter of Your Asking – A Poem by Paul Tristram

I sense the honeycomb of your personality,
golden and beautiful, rich in goodness
yet, worry upon worry
crowding and blocking all of that light.
I can feel the Amber inside you vibrate softly,
you have Healing to give…
but are unable to use it upon yourself.
‘Kindness’ behind the ‘Want’
compassion and passion, full to the brim
and merely waiting to be unstopped.
Your life has a jagged course,
no molehills for you, white-knuckled
and desperate fingertip-ledge clinging.
This must be a Test?
each year you are noticeably evolving,
every breakdown leads to you
knitting back together stronger.
Refusing to succumb to bitterness
or lasting anger…
you keep that radiant glow alive safely inside.
Waiting for that climb through the Mountains
to finally become a meadow walk…
and it is at last, time for you
to butterfly magnificently out of that armour.

More Better Different | Stan Morrison

more better different is a lifetime quest
a natural for the curious playful creative
an inevitable modus operandi not a choice
restless whimsical honest and steadfast

more better different a built-in apparatus
not merely a philosophy more of a genotype
can’t outguess a master ideas always flowing
imagining vulnerable fast download eager

more loving
better impulses
different styles
effortless humor
are you with me?

Love Is Everything | Raquel Averill

Love is everything
Love is all

Love is the thing that gets you up in the morning
Sustains you through the night
Provides sustenance to your soul

Fill your life with it
Enjoy its wonderful bounty
Relish it

Without love there is nothing
And it starts with you

Making It to the Top | Mary Bone

We’ve made it through
a hard, uphill climb,
just to make another dime.
We do what we have to do,
putting up with hullabaloo,
just to make it to the top.
After we get there,
we never stop.

Don’t Despair | Kylie Jenson

Don’t despair…
It won’t be long
Before they hear
Your call and
Come

Use your voice
It’s beautiful
Fresh
Kind
Yours

I know your value
Like a gem
You shine brightly
And make the
World better

You are the
Most beautiful
Being in the world
Realize that
And live

In the Dead of Night | Mark Andrew Heathcote

I’m an oak with rings ingrain
My heart is a woodcut carving
My soul a gnarled wooden cane
No longer prevents my falling.

I’m a mountain-pine-forest
A field of flattened wheat:
A no-man’s-land, a gauntlet
Thrown, down in beseech

Of-war, of-madness or friendship
Take your pick; I am ready, for all.
I have sharpened and whetted,
Sheaved my blade; heeding its call.

I have vanquished-my-enemies
One and all to see them lonesome fall
I have rewritten they’re own parodies.
In my turn stood, equally tall.

I have ignited into blossom,
And unfurled to catch sight
Every flower my breath can bosom
Hold to itself in the dead of night.

Who I Am | Sharise Wellesley

I wish you hadn’t done
All those things, but I’m
Not going to let our history
Dictate who I should be.

You have no power over
Me any longer, nothing
You say can make me do
Anything I don’t want to.

I will walk with confidence,
Look at myself in the
Mirror and remember
Who I am.

No Retreats | Jonathan Abayo

I sat beside
The quite stream
Tortoising and calm
Thrilled in mind
Aha! I heard a tune
A baby on mummy’s laps
Such was a giant spirit
No longer utter
Should I!
Would I!
Could I!
State of winning composure
Overwhelmed with failures
And discouraged with petty gains
I’m an ant, I’ll move on
I’m a lion so aggressive
My attitudes Leopard to sober
Hare in decision
I see future like giraffe
Tougher elephant
I don’t wanna be a Buffalo
Conscious antelope
I’m Kilimanjaro
I’m Everest
Call me Amazon
I’m Ngorongoro
My name is Atlantic
Call me Indian
Label me Pacific
Place my world Africa
My feet on America
My walks on Europe
Asia shout me universe
No limit on Earth,
Jupiter, Mars, shoot up Pluto
State of mind humour
Tragedy my experience
No regrets Sun
You have morning
You have afternoon
Let the night awhile
And shine your smile
Like Savanna blossoms
Bliss and twinkle
Everyday is tomorrow

Words of Wisdom | Sunita Sahoo

Hey You!
The one reading my message,
Have you discovered something new?
After overcoming life’s wreckage!

Why do you cry?
You are not alone!
You can still soar high,
Walking on varied paths unknown!

You may fail a million times,
But never give up trying!
See how your spirit climbs,
No wonder, it feels so satisfying!

Bloom like a Lotus,
Grow through the stagnant pools of filth!
When life seems out of focus,
Remember that you are being REBUILT!

Small Steps | Lindsay Rappaport

Try, try, try.
Work, work, work.

Nothing happens.
Treading water.

Falling into a deep state
Of depression.

Nothing happens,
Even less happens.

Awake to the realization
You are worth more.

Small steps leading
To wonderful things.
