wanderer poems

Homeless Soul | Guna Moran

It wants to run away
Somehow I managed to hold back

It had not been long since I turned homesick
It had been only that day
I left the Bedouin life leave

Enjoying after suffering from hunger

Home is the arch enemy of Bedouin

Manege | Sanjeev Sethi

Altering metaphors
of existence are
the wanderer’s primer
for survival.
Joy of journeying
doesn’t lie in witnessing
what’s lighted upon,
which larder is laid bare
but where it’s taken to.
Some distances
are worth stalking,
as they oust us
from ourselves.
