steer me clear of
the obstacles, please
I simply can’t deal
with all the death and disease,
and lately even the thunder
bothers me also.
my power-steering seems
to have gone out; I’m making slow
turns these days.
the storm-clouds are harder to outrun
and the more I want to avoid them,
the faster they seem to come.
