self-worth poems

My Worth | Jordan Harman

Once there was me
and then there was not

So many years searching
wondering where I was

Things ignored and wasted
too many to count

Opportunities lost
hope forsaken

But the day came
when it all changed

I realized my worth
I’d never go back again

Spoiler Alert | Stan Morrison

You are the one who deflagrated our futures
The struggles were such burdensome tortures
I’m the baby y’threw out with the bath water
Turned out better than you thought I ought’er
A shiny diamond you could not rough it with
I’m a timeless heirloom look what you missed

Worth a World | Troy Cabida

You wear skin once soft,
now steel shining, adorned in scars
that tell a story you don’t need to explain.
In whispers
they’ll talk about how much you’ve grown,
how many battles you’ve dived into and won,
how high you’re flying,
soaring from all the obscurity,
because now
every piece of earth you step on
can become yours, so choose to be luminous,
you’re worth the world.
Now you can sleep, feed, give yourself
peace, all the time to heal
and hear yourself again.
Hold on tight, embrace yourself because
you’re worth the whole world.
